Litho Print
Litho printing is cost effective when it comes to large orders, namely 100 copies or more. Once a printing plate has been prepared, it can be used over and over again. High quality plates can last for more than a million prints if need be! Professional printing companies employ trained lithography experts who know how to prepare the printing machinery, ink, and plates the right way in order to produce the final product you are looking for.
If you only need a few copies of an image and don’t need super-precise colours, then the time and preparation required for lithographic printing is probably not worth setting up. However, when you have a big order to complete quickly, or you need branded colours like Pantone colours, then lithography is definitely what you need.
Digital Print
Digital printing is the process of printing digital-based images directly onto a variety of medias. Unlike with offset printing, there is no need for a printing plate. Digital files such as PDFs or desktop publishing files can be sent directly to the digital printing press to print on paper, photo paper, canvas, fabric, synthetics, cardstock and other substrates.
Digital printing technology excels at producing on demand and short print runs quickly and cost-effectively. Digital printing is also an ideal platform for personalization. If you want to easily modify images and messages using variable data printing (VDP), then digital printing is the only way to go. With advancements in print quality and speed, digital printing’s previous disadvantages are quickly disappearing, and digital printing machines are closing the gap on offset output.
Spot Colour Print
While for most print jobs CMYK is enough, some jobs are better suited to using a ‘spot colour’. Spot colours are printed using a single, pre-mixed ink colour, rather than a combination of the four basic colours in CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow, and black) printing.
This makes spot colour ink printing ideal for consistency, particularly on those important elements like logos.
It also allows for printers to use inks that cannot be made using the traditional CMYK process, such as fluorescent colours or metallic tones.
When picking a spot colour, be sure to decide whether you want to use the coated or uncoated versions, and consider what kind of paper you are having your work finished on.
Large Format printing options for any project
Large format printing is a great advertising medium, encompassing everything from banners, wallpapers, murals, and posters. As the name suggests, large format printing, also knows as wide-format or grand printing, supports the maximum print roll width. This gives you the freedom of a large area that can be displayed indoors or outdoors, where you need your communication to be seen. The audience will notice your visual with ease, enabling you to enjoy a significant impact from this form of advertising.
